I figured out that this year a South Dakota resident could leagally shoot up to 19 or 20 deer. Logistically, that is almost impossible, however. A dozen would be more realistic. Here is the break-down. Three 2-tag West River licenses, three 2-tag East River licenses, West River Bow, East River Bow, Muzzle Loader, Black Hills Deer, Special Buck, Refuge Buck, Deer Depredation, Youth doe (hunter must be <= 16 years old). Out-of-state hunters can hunt get West River tags, so they can shoot up to six if they apply for and receive leftover tags. If money is no object, you can shoot as many as you want on reservation land.
